PHP DEVELOPER

Perfect Space is currently re-branding and attacking the San Diego web development market with phenomenal skills and new services. We’re looking specifically for people who know PHP/MySQL inside out and who are familiar with MVC frameworks like CakePHP and CodeIgniter.

• Create great products our customers love
• Develop modular, reusable, high quality, clean code

Requirements
• At least 5 years developing customer-facing features in PHP and MySQL
• Proficiency with MVC and/or object-oriented programming
• Expertise creating, configuring, and optimizing MySQL databases and queries
• Thrive in fast-paced environments with quick iterations
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Go-getter: you figure out what needs to be done vs. having to be told
• Can see the big picture but also zoom down into details
• Process driven; you work smarter, not harder
• Proficiency using Subversion (SVN)
• Working knowledge of CakePHP, CodeIgniter, Zend or other MVC PHP frameworks
• Proficiency in JavaScript, AJAX using jQuery
• Ability to take a PSD and turn it into valid XHTML and external CSS

Bonus points for
• Database administration skills (indexing, caching, etc)
• Startup experience
